Ingredients for making Qashta
· 2 cups of sugar
· a quarter cup of white bee honey
· 3 tablespoons of water
· 5 tablespoons of gelatin
· half a cup of warm water
· Half a spoon of vanilla powder
· 2 cups of fine coconut
· A spoonful of lemon
· a cup of raisins
· a cup of dried fruit as desired.
Steps to prepare Qashta
The first step involves putting a pot of water on the fire, adding sugar, white honey, and vanilla, leaving it until it boils, then adding lemon, making sure to stir.
The second step is to leave the mixture on the stove and boil until it reaches white caramel.
In the third step, place the gelatin in half a cup of water until it dissolves completely, then put it on the honey mixture and remove from the heat.
Step Four: Beat the mixture in an electric mixer until it becomes white and fluffy.
The fifth step: Grease the tray with oil, put a sprinkle of coconut and the mixture in it, then cover it completely with coconut. Cover it with raisins and dried fruit, and cut the cream into cubes.
